Birthday Fun For Craig. Unboxing His Gift. What Is It?

Hi guys. It's been a while since posting on my blog site here. It doesn't mean we haven't been living life well. Like the rest of the whole wide world, we too have been living the covid life. Lockdowns continue off and on in our province of Ontario Canada. Over a year later since covid became a world altering thing.
Since we hear enough about it every day, I wanted to share Craig's special and unique 69th birthday gifts this past April 10th! I got the idea from watching You Tube videos. Over the years I have enjoyed (for some reason) watching channels open subscription boxes. What is that you ask. I first remember my teen years when I was able to sign up for some kind of beauty product box that came in the mail every month!

Now days there are subscription boxes for all kinds of interests.Soon,  I will be sharing the subscription art box unboxing, I just received on my creativity channel HeartfullyCreating. As well, as art, all things creative like knitting, science activities for kids, arts and. crafts, all the way to foods! So I googled subscription boxes and got the idea when I saw snack boxes. The one that looked like the most fun for Craig was one called Universal Yums. So I signed him up for three months. They send a box of snacks from a different country every month for about 45 CDN.

The video of his unboxing is right below. Because he opened it in April, he has since been eating the items so I also included notes on what he thought of the taste. It is like travelling by staying locked down. A great covid diversion. And who doesn't like to get packages of goodies in the mail!

Wanting to try a healthier alternative I also got him one box from Canada of really good quality snacks. That video will be posted after this one is shared.

I Walk! And Just Vlogging Around Town: Canada Day, Community And Other Thoughts - Part #2

Hi guys! Alright, here is the grand finale of my exciting Walk And Talk. And remember what I said about walking!!! (It's in the video) For all of us who use wheels for legs, it is

Speaking of Canada Day,
here I am about 24 years ago
in Ottawa! My earlier walking days
totally cool to use the phrase or word WALK or Walking. For decades I have always used it in reference to myself or others who use wheels for legs and for years, to describe moving from one place to another. On occasion, there are folks who are uncomfortable using the "W" word to describe that motion when we use wheels for legs. They sometimes have even pointed out to me that I do not walk! I understand they mean well, (I think they do)  but it is very difficult to bite my tongue and not be sarcastic. "No way! You mean I can't walk!? That explains a lot!" See, hard to not be. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone.

So please know, if you use a wheelchair, it is way okay to say you are going for a walk or some such thing. If you are someone who is not in need of having to use wheels for legs and are worried about using the Walk word, it's okay to say it. Yes, there are a few of my peers who may insist on specifying that the wheeled or rolled or went for a cruise, etc. But in all my years, I haven't met any person who would be offended if you used the "W" word in reference to their movement.

Sorry for the wobbliness and the times my hand hit the camera mike. Other than that, please try to enjoy Part Two of my early morning Walk and Talk Vlog, Sight Seeing our neighbourhoodSORRY THE AUDIO IS SO LOUSY IN SOME PARTS...

Thanks for stopping by.
See you soon. Hope you get to go for a walk wheels or legs! If you know me, I mostly stay at home inside, creating(I am an artist.) So a walk is a big deal for me. But not in the old days!

Oh, and An update on Craig's new replacement power assist wheels status. We will receive a quote from the dealer Monday so we can pay the client portion before they can order the set. We decided to try the TWION brand by Alber. Craig says "Twion" sounds like Elmer Fudd talking (think Bugs Bunny). He is trying on or will TWION, the Twion wheels. "You Wasscally Wabbit, you!"

Have a great weekend~

Just Vlogging Around Town, Canada Day, Community And Other Thoughts Part #1

I chose to campout last night in my power tilt wheelchair, planning on some big celebration fireworks, to go to sleep whenever we wanted to. But sadly, the country and our city cancelled them, thanks to you know what! So sad, but find out what ended up happening. I broke my walk into two parts, so here is: Walk And Talk and Sight Seeing Around our neighbourhood!I know this isn't about my creativity, but I want to share it for fun anyway. Sorry for the wobbliness and the times my hand hit the camera mike. Other than that, please try to enjoy Part One of my early morning Walk and Talk Vlog, Sight Seeing our neighbourhood!

An UpLIFTing Adventure?

If you're new to Walking Way Overrated, you might want to check out this video/ blog Post, to catch up on what's been happening to my poor husband Craig trying to get into our wheelchair accessible van.  On the other hand, If you've been hanging around WWO for a while, one of our dear friends who actually know our situation, meaning we've seen you face-to-face, looked each other straight in the eye, then you know what's been happening. Not saying that people online aren't friends, I think you know what I mean.

It is actually been a couple of weeks since Craig was able to run errands or use our van for whatever, because he has been stuck in our van two times in a week. We've had two technicians look at our wheelchair lift since then, and of course both times the list work pretty good. The conclusion from both were, possibly the remote control system. But that's all I'm going to say because I made a video sharing the exciting adventures that Craig has recently been on. Or has he?
Watch our newest video/vlog today-right below

Thanks for stopping by. That helps a lot if you  share and subscribe,  only if you want to of course.

Be sure to subscribe if you want to stay posted on the latest fast action adventures of my husband Craig!

UPDATED: Curiosities: Strange sky sounds In Ontario, Canada.

UPDATE March 18, 2017
Thought it would be best to share some video compilations from other YouTube channels that capture the "trumpetish" sounds that we heard.  It is why the sound got our attention. Because we have NEVER hear it ourselves in real life until that day, But had been researching the subject on the net.
Source videos are at the bottom of the page.
_______________

Hello everyone! Well I guess whoever is reading this, Hello. Ever hear of the term "strange sky noises?" It may seem like a really bizarre Post, five or six years ago I would've concurred. My husband and I, like researching current events, conspiracy theories/ facts, and various curiosities that arise on the World Wide Web, especially YouTube. No doubt, there are some very strange things out here, but we know not everyone could be making these things up.

In fact, in our city on March 11 2017, it happened... We heard it for ourselves. With the doors shut and windows closed, still a little too cool in northwestern Ontario, there were some familiar sounds coming from outside. I grab the camera to try and record the audio part and that is what the video below is about. We live on Lake superior, well our city is on the lake shore. In fact we are referred to as the lakehead. Because we have watched/listen to, a lot of YouTube videos Sharing that recorded strange Skype noises, the sound was very familiar.  not because it was a freighter, Tanker or a train horn - my husband has lived here his entire life I knows although sounds. It was very familiar because listening to News stories and people videos that they have posted over the last five years.

Here it is if you're curious.

If anyone has any idea or answers as to what I sound like that could be, please leave comments under the YouTube video. This is a family friendly log and channel, so please keep that in mind.
What is very strange, is the sounds was so loud that we could hear it, like I said, with everything close in our home. And yet, at both times when it occurred for about maybe two minutes or so, the audio that was recorded shows up in the sound waves on the movie maker program and yet, and some places I had to delete the video because to listen with your ears reveals no sound really at all. That is why the videos are edited to just when the sound can be heard Best. It is why I copied and pasted the two events a few times. Like I said, Google the subject strange sky noises, and you will hear a familiar sound. Very curious indeed. We trust God knows what all this is about. Maybe it is just some Bucket on a front end loader  scraping the asphalt somewhere? Kind of hope so :o)

Thanks for stopping by!

Here is One Of Our Favourite Guys To Watch and Listen To: L. A. Marzulli About Strange Sky Noises

Video/Audio Compilations.
There are so many videos on this topic, I just want to share these two for now. Viewer discretion is advised- unfortunately sometimes those recording are cussing. In This video the same sounds we heard can be heard aabout the 3 minute: 44 second mark:

Below the Same Sounds we heard are at about the 3:30 mark. Strongly suggest watching the entire video though.
